Those '70s Jeans

Every now and then, you hear a seamstress talk about sewing for the life you actually lead. You can find the time to sew yourself 20 formal gowns a year, never have the occasion to wear them, and still complain every morning about having nothing to wear or examine your life and wardrobe and figure out what's missing.

I've been getting better and better at this, but today I realized there was one article of clothing that could make getting dressed for school a quicker, more pain-free process the mornings all I want to do is throw on a pair of jeans and a Beatles t-shirt - my collection is growing and I like to show them off!

Nothing from the 30s, 40s, 50s, or 60s would work for me.

Only the 70s will do! Needless to say, this is a little out of my comfort zone..

But they look pretty cool, and I can get behind anything wide-legged! I haven't picked out a pattern yet, but I'll keep you all updated! I was hired at a certain fabric store recently and this will be the first thing I use my employee discount on.

  1. Neat. I thought about using the new Wearing History wide-legged pants pattern for jeans. Put a few welt pockets on the front, make it in denim. It could work.

  2. Oh boy, working in a fabric store would be seriously bad for my bank account :-)

I love wider legged pants. I look forward to seeing what you'll be creating!
